The wassilyevich project is the personal initiative of Daan Van Cauteren (Antwerp, 1995), a self-taught creative coder and generative artist working at the intersection of technology and visual expression. With a background in architectural engineering, Daan’s interests span computational design, printmaking, and the tactile qualities that emerge when the digital meets the analog.
While pursuing his PhD in Engineering Sciences, he discovered the creative potential of generative algorithms and digital fabrication. This exploration led to the birth of the wassilyevich project: a space for sharing experiments, collections, and processes. The site functions as both a public journal and a gentle nudge toward completing and publishing these works.
Most of the project’s creations are built with JavaScript, occasionally venturing into GLSL for more experimental visual work.
